I generally dislike McDonald's and will usually avoid them whenever I can, but the McDonald's in the Flying J in Roberts, Wisconsin has a lady that was so kind and caring last night. My husband has been sick the past few days but last night he was running a fever and coughing so much he couldn't sleep. He ended up throwing up repeatedly because of the coughing. I had already given him nyquil, vitamins, and cough drops, but nothing was helping. Finally I went into the McDonald's and asked for a cup of hot water, lemon, and honey, to try a remedy my mom always gave me as a child. The lady behind the counter was so sweet and caring! Not only did she give me a tall cup of hot water with lemon slices and packs of honey, she also sliced a whole lemon and gave it to me along with several more packets of honey so that I could make it again later. She didn't let me pay for anything, although I offered to pay the price of a coffee or something. After mixing the water and making my husband drink about half of it, his coughing was calmed down enough that he was able to lay down and get some sleep before our delivery this morning. I made him the water again this morning and it helped to control his coughing again. I am so thankful for that lady's help, I wish I had caught her name but she was so kind last night!
