Alternate Route Information
Take exit 32 for route 43 north (left turn). Go north 2.2 miles to route 190 (you cannot go further as it is a marked non-truck route to go straight). There is a light there. Turn right/east. Go 4.6 miles to I 55 south. You will pass a Dollar General store and a Save A Lot grocer receiver. I 55 south will take you back to I 12. Go east. If you accidentally go west, you will have to cross the west bound scale if it is open.

I was very close to my 11 hr driving time limit when I parked at this LA scale at 2 am on 05/03/2016, I possibly could have made it to the Petro Hammond but highly unlikely any spaces left. At 09:30 a real asshole of a LA DOT pig banged on my sleeper and asked why I was parked there and I explained it to him and he said in a very unprofessional tone of voice I can't park there and must leave in a very impolite and arrogant way. I tried to explain my 10 hours were not yet up and he STILL told me to leave. I moved a short distance and parked on the wide shoulder of the scale on ramp and finished my 10. Nice going LA DOT, now I hate you as well and if I ever come up on an accident scene or some emergency involving one of your pig officers needing help, I will do NOTHING to help the asshole.
