WEIGH STATION

Rate this location:
Highway: I-74
Mile Marker: MM 2
City: HARRISON
State: OH
Phone: 513-367-6616

Parking: There is a rest area in Indiana at mile marker 151.5 west of the truck scale. There is a small Shell gas station with diesel islands and several truck parking spots at exit 3 in Ohio east of the weigh station- the exit is Dry Fork Road. You’ll go off the exit, turn right and get ready to turn right on the side street (no street sign) before the light. If you miss the turn, go to the light at Harrison Ave. and turn right, but you will come around to the Shell and you will need to turn right on that same side street to get to the truck parking entrance.
Information
In August 2006 this Hamilton County weigh station was temporarily closed due to freeway construction. It’s back in business now.
Alternate Route Information
Take exit 1 in Ohio for New Haven Road and turn right off the exit. In August 2006 this ramp was under construction so be careful with your right turn or you may end up in a very deep ditch. Take New Haven Road .3 miles down the hill to the light at Harrison Ave. Turn left on Harrison Ave. You will be on Harrison Ave 2.1 miles, but after 1.3 miles you will see the back side of the weigh station on your left. They would have to be looking for you and the road you are on is not marked with any truck restrictions. When you pass by the Shell gas/diesel station on your left (with truck parking) you will get ready to get into the left turn only lane. Turn left there on Dry Fork Road (it is marked as Simonson Road to the right). You will go about .3 mile to the right turn for the ramp to I 74 east.
If you are headed down to Kentucky via I 275 east, you can take route 1 off I 74 to I 275 east, which would be a much shorter route than taking I 74 all the way to I275. It would also take you off the freeway before this Hamilton County weigh station. There is a very narrow bridge that trucks over 40 feet were not allowed to cross during construction to widen the bridge. It is open to all traffic now.

Customer Feedback:
Alternate route is a setup drivers ,cops are watching it like a hawk , DO NOT try to go around scale on exit 1 or you will get caught - Trucker Posted1-15-2015
