Parking: There is a Flying J at exit 2 in Kentucky north of the Mitchellville weigh station.
Alternate Route Information
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BYPASS THIS SCALE USING ROUTE 31A! THERE IS A BACK DOOR TO THE WEIGH STATION AND YOU WILL HAVE TO GO IN.
Take exit 117 for route 52 and turn right. You’ll go .4 miles to the 4-way stop sign at route 31W. DO NOT TURN ONTO ROUTE 31W- if you do, you will find the back door to the weigh station in 1.4 miles. Continue straight on route 52 west into the town of Portland. You’ll be on route 52 another 4.6 miles. When you get to the light at route 109, turn left (there is a McDonald’s and a Bo’s Stop and Go on the right). 109 is a little tight through town but it’s a 4-lane so it’s not too bad. You’ll be on route 109 north for 4.8 miles until it dead ends onto route 31W. Turn right. DO NOT TURN LEFT! Make sure you turn right at the dead end on 31W and it will take you back past the Flying J to the ramp for I 65 north- but if you get on the freeway here you will have to cross the Franklin, KY, scale. You can follow the bypass route for the Franklin, KY, weigh station from this point. - NB

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BYPASS THE WEIGH STATION BY STAYING ON ROUTE 31W. THERE IS A BACK DOOR INTO THE NORTH BOUND TRUCK SCALE!
Take exit 2 in Kentucky and turn left. You’ll go about 4 miles past the Flying J to the turnoff for route 109. It’s a left turn and there is a Silver Dollar Bar on the corner. DO NOT MISS THIS TURNOFF- if you do, you will come to the back door for the weigh station in 1.9 miles. When you turn off onto route 109, you’ll go 4.8 miles to the light at route 52 west (there is a McDonald’s on the far right corner). Turn right onto route 52 and go .6 miles back to I 65 south. - SB
